Grand Opening: Samurai Training

The Samurai Training Academy was formed by Bob Lowry Renshi to provide a traditional Japanese martial arts experience that would honor the founders of the set of martial arts taught at our dojo. Our formal Japanese style is called Bushinkai ,a mix of martial arts that include certain types of Karate, Jujutsu and Sword. Bushinkai was founded by Sakura Kazuo Sensei, who was a student of Otsuka Hironori, founder of Wado-Ryu. These arts date back to the 7th Century in Japan and through the blessing of Nakamura Shihan are taught here.

Our martial arts are not just the knowledge of fighting skills, it is the wisdom of life skills. When you train the body, you train the mind and the spirit. Each will become equally as strong. It is through our training and teaching, we help students discover and develop their optimal self.
