About the Artist
Teresa Anne Volgenau, a Colorado native, has dedicated over 30 years to the performing arts, traveling the world as a dancer, choreographer, and instructor with The Joffrey Ballet.
Her artistic journey, which began with sketchpads in hand between rehearsals and subway rides, eventually led her to pursue her passion as a visual artist. Working in acrylics and inks, Teresa creates bold, intricate pieces inspired by her background in dance, her love of nature and mystical symbolism, and her personal journey as a cancer survivor. Through her art, she shares stories of resilience, romance, and exploration—inviting you to experience the beauty and depth of her creative world.
