• Congressional Art Show Winners

Lakewood, Colo. – This week, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) announced the winners of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition. This is the 16th consecutive year Perlmutter has hosted this event. The artwork was hung and on display for students and members of the public at Red Rocks Community College, culminating in an awards reception on May 6th.

“With more than 130 art works submitted, this year’s art show was one for the record books!” said Perlmutter. “Our community has amazing artists and I’m glad we’ve been able to showcase so many students’ works of art over the years.  And a big thank you to our judges for helping with this event, many of whom who have done so for multiple years.”

Perlmutter has hosted the Congressional Art Show for students in the 7th Congressional District every year but one since joining Congress in 2007. The first place artwork from each congressional district is hung in the Cannon Tunnel in the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. for one year.
