The focus on small business in Washington, D.C., extends from last week’s National Small Business Week to this week’s Infrastructure Week. Local Chambers of Commerce throughout the country will push for Congress and the White House to capitalize on a bipartisan commitment to fix our nation’s crumbling infrastructure, which is stunting Main Street’s ability to grow.  Click here for a complete list of Infrastructure Week activities.

On Wednesday morning, Atlanta social and tech entrepreneur, Jasmine Crowe, joins a host of industry experts, government leaders, and elected officials for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s annual Global Supply Chain Conference.

Also on Wednesday, the U.S. House Committee on Small Business will meet for a “Member Day Hearing.” That afternoon, the U.S. Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee is poised to examine SBA’s Innovation Programs.
On Thursday morning, the House Small Business Committee will look at ways to improve the Small Business Administration’s Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting program.
