The public health order requiring masks in all indoor public spaces will remain in place at least through January. With the surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, it is critical to continue with as many prevention practices as possible to protect the health of everyone in Adams and Arapahoe counties. TCHD continues to encourage a range of preventative such as wearing a mask in indoor public places, washing your hands, getting tested if you have symptoms or have a known exposure to someone who has COVID-19 and avoid large gatherings. Most importantly, fully up to date vaccines remain the most critical public health measure to protect people from COVID-19, slow transmission, reduce the likelihood of new variants emerging and prevent serious illness, hospitalizations and death. The public health order will continue until staffed ICU beds capacity reaches 10% or higher for 14 consecutive days.
