Local Foods Market is hosting a Demo Day and Wellness Fair 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the store, 5005 W. 72nd Ave.
Starting at 11 a.m., Local Foods will be selling hamburgers fresh off the grill and vendors will be on hand to showcase and demonstrate their products, including Sun Milk -- a startup based out of Boulder than makes sunflower seed milk that is not pasteurized so it carries more nutrients.
At noon, Palangi Fit of Arvada will host a free yoga class (donations accepted) in the cafe area of the store. Yoga participants will receive a discount on smoothies and kombucha on tap.
Starting at 1:30 p.m., singer-songwriter Michael Gabriel will provide live music. Product demonstrations and free samples, including Wagyu beef from Colorado Craft Butchers, will be available throughout the afternoon.
Local Foods Market opened in February at the northwest corner of 72nd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster, offering a variety of locally made products along with healthy, natural, and organic items. The store is open 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.
